Getting a date to prom was easy for Grandview student Arden Genore, but her mom, Shannon Taylor says finding the dress was another story."It's been a really long process," Taylor said. "I was getting discouraged yesterday."And after an unsuccessful day of shopping in stores and online, Genore felt the same way."I kinda got my hopes down, like I'm not gonna find a dress," Genore said. 

Jessica Kapavik, owner of JoAnn's Bridal in West says most proms are coming up in early April and May. Which means dresses are going fast. But she says there's no need to panic."We still have hundreds and hundreds of gowns on our racks and I'm sure other vendors do as well," Kapavik said.
