A physical altercation involving two men began over stored clothes and involved a woman recently arrested for theft of money from courthouse accounts and violation of her public oath. Brock told Petzold that he had secured the scene but hadn't taken any statements, and Petzold began to question both Daniels and the young boy. The child and his mother both said Pennamon had come to collect some clothes he was storing there, but once he was inside, Harris insisted that he leave the home. According to Daniels, the argument began when Pennamon asked where his clothes were and she told him they were in the back bedroom. According to the statements, Harris then began to ask Daniels to get Pennamon out of the house. A verbal altercation ensued as Pennamon grabbed his bags and set them down by the front door, and Harris threw them out the door onto the porch, the report said.
